Curriculum
Jazzstudio
The full time program takes five years (starting in the prep year), or four years (when you can start in the first year).
After passing the exams at the end of the year, our students get a certificate which states they have accomplished that year’s goals.
In the fourth and last year, students get a diploma Uitvoerend Musicus Jazz of Pop, which specifies that they meet all the criteria of our school. Conditions are: passing exams for all theoretical and practical subjects and organising your own 45 minutes concert (for a jury and audience).
In the first years you’ll have instrument, performing ensemble, technique and reading classes. For theoretical training there’s harmony, music theory, ear training, rhythms and jazz history. Later on in the training, Songwriting and Production will be added to your program.
During their first two years, jazz and pop students share several courses. That’s why you can switch between those two during these first years. You can find more detailed information in the program that you can download in the left-hand column.
